Ex Libras are Amit Sharma, Kieran Hagi, and Ross Kenning who bonded over "alternative music with groove" whilst working at Hounslow Borough Library
Utilising piano, guitar and drums, they create a unique blend of post-rock, noise and rhythm in a sophisticated, deep, dark, emotional way.
The band released a debut album back in late 2009 called Suite.
A number of selected tracks were reworked for the subsequent Cuts EP.
‘Teenage Eyes’ comes from that EP and was released in February 2011. A haunting piano sets the scene, with guitar , bass and minimalistic drums only adding to the sinister, cinematic feel.
The vocal sits perfectly, capturing the scene one can almost imagine a strange tale of beautiful tragedy unfolding before you. Ruth Kelly from Ariel Up provides the cello, cutting in almost unnoticed as it slowly builds.
To commemorate this release, Ex Libras have teamed up with KIFilms' very own Beau Fowler, who has produced and directed a visually stunning music video that compliments the bands eerily cinematic sound perfectly.
