After a series of rock records, Moore returned to blues music with "Still Got the Blues", with contributions from Albert King, Albert Collins and George Harrison.
Moore stayed with the blues format until 1997, when he decided to experiment with modern dance beats on "Dark Days in Paradise".
"Back to the Blues" saw Moore return to his tried and tested blues format in 2001: he continued with this style on "Power of the Blues" (2004), "Old New Ballads Blues" (2006), "Close As You Get" (2007) and "Bad For You Baby (2008).
"Farther Up the Road" is a blues song first recorded in 1957 by Bobby "Blue" Bland. The song became a #1 hit the same year in the Billboard R&B chart as well as reaching #43 in the Billboard pop chart.
The song was Bland's first charting single after several years of recording for various record companies. It spent fourteen weeks in the R&B chart, including two weeks at #1. Bland would enjoy nearly uninterrupted chart success for the next twenty years.
Since the original hit, "Farther Up the Road" has been performed and recorded by numerous blues and other artists with most notable cover version the one by Eric Clapton.
This one comes from "Blues Alive" in 1993.
