Madrugada

Madrugada was a Norwegian rock band formed in the town of Stokmarknes 1995. The term "madrugada" is Portuguese and Spanish and means "dawn" -- the blue hour. The name was suggested to the band by poet/writer friend Øystein Wingaard Wolf. The band members included Frode Jacobsen (bass), Sivert Høyem (vocals) and Robert Burås (guitar).

After the death of Burås on July 12, 2007 Høyem and Jacobsen decided to finish recording their latest album. The album, entitled Madrugada, was released on January 21, 2008. After the release of the album the band announced they would split after one last tour. They performed their last ever concert on November 15, 2008 at Oslo Spektrum in Oslo-Norway.

Look Away Lucifer and Honey Bee are from Madrugada, the sixth and final studio self titled album . It was released by the band's own label, Malabar Recording Company, on January 21, 2008. The album was produced by Madrugada and John Agnello who also produced the band's 2001 release The Nightly Disease as well as My Midnight Creeps' second album Histamin.

Even though guitarist Robert Burås died before the album was done, Høyem and Jacobsen continued with the release of the album. Burås' part was already recorded when he died, and the rest of Madrugada stated that finishing the album was like therapy.
